Construction Equipment Manufacturer

Industrial Controls and Manufacturing by Edward W. Kamen,

Industrial Controls and Manufacturing by Edward W. Kamen,
Growing numbers of engineering graduates are finding employment in the control systems area with applications to manufacturing. To be properly prepared for such positions, it is desirable that the students be exposed to the topics of process control, discrete logic control and the fundamentals of manufacturing. Presently there is no existing textbook and/or reference that combine together process control, discrete logic control and the fundamentals of manufacturing. This is a book that fills that gap. This book integrates together the theory with a number of illustrative examples. Constructive procedures will be given for designing controllers and manufacturing lines, including methods for designing digital controllers, fuzzy logic controllers and adaptive controllers, and methods for the design of the flow of operations in a manufacturing line. One chapter will be devoted to equipment interfacing and computer communications, with the focus on fieldbuses, device drivers and computer networks. There are no existing control-oriented textbooks that bring this material into the picture, although interfacing and communications are becoming a bigger and bigger part of the overall control problem.

Yellow Steel: The Story of the Earthmoving Equipment Industry by William R. Haycraft,
Yellow Steel: The Story of the Earthmoving Equipment Industry by William R. Haycraft,
In Yellow Steel, the first overarching history of the earthmoving equipment industry, William R. Haycraft examines the tremendous increase in the scope of mining and construction projects, from the Suez Canal through the interstate highway system, made possible by innovations in the earthmoving industry. Haycraft shows how postwar economic and political events spurred the development of more powerful and more agile machines. He relates the fall of several major American earthmoving machine companies and the rise of Japanese competitors in the early 1980s. He also traces the efforts of manufacturers such as Caterpillar, Allis-Chalmers, International Harvester, J. I. Case, Deere, and Massey-Ferguson to diversify from farm equipment to specialized earthmoving equipment. Rich in detail and extensively illustrated, Yellow Steel knits together the diverse stories of the many companies that created the earthmoving industry -- how they began, expanded, retooled, merged, succeeded, and sometimes failed. Their history, a step-by-step linking of need and invention, provides the foundation for virtually all modern transportation, construction, commerce, and industry.

Case CE - Case CE, also Case Construction Equipment or simply Case, is a brand of construction equipment from CNH Global. Under this brand name, CNH Global is the third biggest manufacturer of construction equipment behind CAT (#1) and Komatsu (#2).

Deere & Company - Deere & Company (NYSE:DE) an American corporation based in Moline, Illinois is the leading manufacturer of agricultural machinery including tractors, combine harvesters, balers, and forestry equipment; and a leading supplier of equipment used in lawn, grounds and turf care such as ride-on lawn mowers, all of which are known for their distinctive green and yellow color scheme. John Deere is also a major manufacturer of construction equipment.

Volvo Construction Equipment - Volvo Construction Equipment (originally Volvo BM) is a subsidiary and business area of AB Volvo. Volvo Construction Equipment develops, manufactures and markets equipment for the construction and related industries.

Original equipment manufacturer - An original equipment manufacturer (frequently abbreviated "OEM") is a company that builds products or components that are used in products sold by another company (often called a value-added reseller, or VAR). An OEM will typically build to order based on designs of the VAR.
